MERCAT CROSS
COCKBURNSPATH

The historic Mercat Cross in Cockburnspath village square, at the end of the Southern Upland Way. Traditionally, it's believed that the intricate carvings of the Scottish Thistle and Tudor Rose on the monument commemorate the marriage of James IV to Margaret Tudor.
